Youth Gun Safety Workshop

Service Description

This workshop is geared toward and open to children 7 years and older. The class places heavy emphasis on gun safety for children and firearm responsibility . Students will have an opportunity to fire a real gun under strict instructor supervision and one on one guidance. Along the way, I will be providing parent tips for continued learning opportunities in gun safety development for the family. The class includes discussion about the realities of real firearms and how that contrasts with toys, video games/entertainment. I will also give kids an opportunity to get hands on time with ammunition, gun parts, and cleaning a real, disassembled firearm. I include the use of 22LR training guns, ammunition, targets, eye and ear protection. Class is held entirely outside, under cover at Volusia County Gun & Hunt Club in New Smyrna Beach, FL. *One parent (legal guardian) is required to be present through the duration of the class. There is a $30 up charge for a second parent to be present, unless more than one child is brought as a student. Please note, as this is a firearms related event, it is imperative that children are not rowdy or display behavioral issues. At my discretion, any individuals that I deem a potential danger to self or others will not be allowed to participate in this function and will be asked to leave. No refund will be issued in that case. Payment should be prepaid and if not, payment must be submitted at the beginning of class. For safety purposes, please be sure you and your child has some form of eye protection on and while at the gun range for safety purposes. I have proper shooting protection that may be used while shooting. I look forward to teaching your children gun safety and being there with them as they take their first shot! Thank you!
